ÔPIA Cabernet Sauvignon is an innovative new unfermented drink made using organic grapes, and uniquely without any sulphites. This sparkling organic alcohol-free drink pours with a deep ruby red hue. The nose exudes characteristic aromas of the varietal such as jammy fruits, blackcurrant, morello cherry, vanilla and clove. The palate is dominated by fruity aromas and underpinned by a firm tannic structure. Its spicy, peppery notes give it warmth and a long, lingering finish. Consume between 12-14 deg C.The grapes, cultivated in the south of France, are de-stemmed and crushed followed by skin maceration at cold temperatures of around 4°C. The maceration process, which is carried out before pressing, lasts for 8 hours and enables optimum extraction of all the components in the grape such as polyphenols, anthocyanins, tannins and resveratrols as well as minerals and aromatic precursors. The ageing process involves the infusion of organic grape pips and French oak in order to ensure excellent aromatic complexity. This is not a drink originated from fermented wine as it does not undergo fermentation. Zero sulphur. Vegan and Gluten free. Certified Halal.
